RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) will hold its regularly scheduled meeting July 19 at Germanna Community College in Fredericksburg.
The Council’s Academic Affairs, and Resources and Planning committees will meet July 19 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Topics include action on a proposed degree program at a public institution. The Council also will discuss the work of both the Academic Affairs and Resources & Planning committees, the Day of Dialogue event on civic engagement, the state budget and preparation for the 2023 General Assembly session, the cost and funding needs study, institutional performance standards preliminary data, and data-informed initiatives for Pathways to Opportunity: The Virginia Plan for Higher Education.
The full Council will convene at 12:15 p.m. on July 19. Dr. Janet Gullickson, president of Germanna Community College, and Dr. Sharon Morrissey, Interim Chancellor of the Virginia Community College System, will present remarks.
