RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) has launched a newly redesigned website that includes more user-friendly navigation features. Visitors will notice the following changes:

• Main navigation tweaks to streamline categories.
• Two column layout with sidebar navigation and main content.
• Quick Link buttons to find info faster.
• Higher education key facts on the home page.
• Ability to filter news stories and Insights (blog feature).
• Ability to increase font sizes for easier viewing and accessibility.

One important change to note: The new site is hosted on an external server with a different IP address, so any pages that were bookmarked will no longer function. Users will need to create a new bookmark after navigating to the page they want to save.

The website refresh was prompted by a desire to improve the site’s security, as well as its ease of use.

“For our regular visitors,” said SCHEV spokesperson, Laura Osberger, “we recommend you take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the new navigation and features, and then save the URL to your favorites for easy access. For those new to SCHEV, welcome! We hope you find valuable information here. While you’re on the site, sign up for one of our industry newsletters, press releases, reports and more.”
