RICHMOND — The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) will hold its regularly scheduled Council meeting next week at Reynolds Community College’s Parham Road campus in Henrico.
The Council’s Academic Affairs, and Resources and Planning committees will meet Monday, October 25 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The full Council will convene for its regular meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26. Dr. Paula Pando, Reynolds Community College president, will present remarks.
Topics include actions on private postsecondary provisional institutional certifications; institutional performance standards certification for Virginia State University; proposed amendments to the Tuition Assistance Grant program regulations; enrollment projections and degree estimates; and budget and policy recommendations for the 2022-24 Biennium.
In addition, Council will discuss student learning assessments; the Civic Learning and Democracy Engagement (CLDE) initiative; the Virtual Library of Virginia and Open Educational Resources (OER); academic program evaluation processes; Transfer Virginia achievements and unveiling of the Transfer Virginia portal; and key findings from the annual report on the statewide strategic plan, Pathways to Opportunity.
